We launched the blog as an outlet for our irritable webmaster—who goes by the moniker "Klugmeister" (pronounced Kloog-Meister)—to write about anything he chooses. So—as you might expect—he writes about anything he chooses. Starting out, the blog posts generally covered situations where Klugmeister imagined a plausible explanation of an actual event, and proceeded to write about it as if the plausible explanation is how the event actually happened. Hence, the blog's name: Imagining Things.
The first several blog posts followed this "made up but plausible story" format, but by around the eighth post he began to stray from his initial focus into new territory. Alas, his publication rate also slowed from "once every week or so" to "once every blue moon." Thankfully, in July 2025 Klugmeister finally completed his second of two nerdy posts on problem solving. He followed that up with a series of three posts on the topic of motorcycles, and is now trying to keep up the momentum.
Since the blog doesn't have a narrowly defined focus like "crafts" or "gaming," the process of building an audience has been slow. Our hope is that some readers will enjoy Klugmeister's writing style and will conveniently overlook that it's a blog about nothing. Ideally, these readers will like it so much that they'll share it with others, a portion of whom will also like it. To the old timers among us, that sounds like a shampoo commercial from the 1980s built around the concept of exponential growth. If only!
