This funny top ten list compares names of Clint Eastwood movies (whether as actor, director, or both) with names of satirical (imaginary, fake, made up) President Trump movies. We've made up the supposed Trump movies in our continuing effort to poke fun at the orange guy.
Note that some of the topics date back to Trump's first term as president (e.g., items 5 and 2), which is due to the fact that we prepared an initial draft of this list in December 2020, when Trump was busy marketing his "the election was stolen" snake oil. That list never saw the light of day, but we've resurrected it and replaced a few of the more dated items with items that are more timely, given Trump's recent desire to restore and reopen Alcatraz as a maximum-security prison facility (item 6), his recent fanboy-ish bromance with Elon Musk (item 4), and his continuing on-again off-again efforts to tariff other countries into oblivion (item 1).
Many of the items involve wordplay (e.g., items 10, 8, 5, 4 and 1). Others we deemed funny by assigning the Trump movies the exact same names as existing Clint Eastwood movies (items 9, 7, and 3). Note this list has not been approved by Clint Eastwood, President Trump, or your mama.
Around 60 years ago, Clint Eastwood achieved notoriety on the TV program "Rawhide," which ran from the late 1950s to the mid 1960s. He later starred as Harry Callahan, a hard-nosed San Francisco cop in "Dirty Harry" (1971). Eastwood has also appeared in several Western movies and directed many films, beginning with "Play Misty for Me" (1971).
During his long film career, Clint Eastwood has acted in and directed a boatload of movies. Now in his 90s, Eastwood has remained active in the film industry, as he directed the 2024 film "Juror #2". In fact, the sheer volume of Clint Eastwood movies is what gave us the germ of the idea that an Eastwood-Trump comparo may be fertile ground in which to grow humor.
